(OPEN) Reliable & Proactive Part-Time Family Assistant for Busy Family in Pittsford, NY!

Schedule: M–Th, approximately 2:30–6:00 PM, with some flexibility and occasional Friday or weekend support as needed
Compensation: $25-30+/hour DOE

A warm and welcoming family in Pittsford is seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Part-Time Family Assistant to help keep their busy household running smoothly! Both parents are physicians with demanding schedules, and their two teenage boys are involved in a variety of sports, music lessons, and activities. The family is looking for someone who can provide consistent afternoon support and make everyday life a little easier.
The primary responsibilities will include driving the boys to and from activities, helping with laundry and light household tidying, and preparing snacks and meals before the family’s busy evenings. The family would especially love to find someone who enjoys cooking and can bring a little extra care to meal prep, whether preparing simple dinners, getting meals ready for the parents to finish, or baking healthy snacks for the boys. Grocery shopping and occasional errands may also be needed.
The schedule can vary from day to day depending on the parents’ work commitments and the boys’ activities, so flexibility is important. Monday through Thursday afternoons are the family’s main priority, with Fridays generally quieter and occasional additional support possible when a parent is on call. The family is open to discussing different arrangements with the right candidate, including candidates who may be balancing other part-time work.
The ideal candidate is reliable, cheerful, and naturally proactive. The family values someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative without needing a detailed list of instructions. The boys are independent, so this role is less about traditional childcare and more about providing practical support, keeping routines on track, and helping the family spend more quality time together. A positive personality, strong work ethic, and dependable communication are especially important.

Requirements:
2+ year of relevant experience preferred
CPR/First Aid certified
