(OPEN) Experienced & Nurturing Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)/Night Nanny for Sweet Family in Pittsford, NY!
Ages of Children: 5 weeks
Start Date: ASAP, based on candidate availability
Schedule: Overnight, ideally Monday–Friday, approximately 10:00 PM–6:00 AM; 4–12 week commitment, with potential for extension
Compensation: $25–30+/hour, DOE

A sweet, welcoming family in Pittsford, NY, is seeking an experienced, reliable, and nurturing Newborn Night Nanny/NCS to support them during the early weeks of parenthood! With their little one now five weeks old, the family is looking for a knowledgeable caregiver who can provide attentive overnight care and help everyone get some much-needed rest. They are hoping to find someone who can commit to approximately 4–12 weeks, beginning as soon as possible, with some flexibility based on the right candidate's availability and preferred contract length.
Their little boy is a sweet, wiggly, and engaged newborn who feeds well and is generally easy to soothe. He is currently formula-fed and typically wakes for a bottle approximately every three hours. The family hopes to gradually work toward longer stretches of overnight sleep, ideally allowing Mom to get around six hours of uninterrupted rest throughout the night.
Responsibilities will be focused entirely on the baby, including overnight feedings, diaper changes, soothing, and maintaining a safe and consistent sleep environment. The family is looking for someone knowledgeable about newborn care and infant sleep who can provide gentle guidance while respecting the parents' preferences. Private sleeping quarters will be available for the nanny to rest when the baby is sleeping.
The ideal candidate is trustworthy, dependable, and confident caring for newborns overnight, with previous professional newborn and overnight experience. The family is hoping to find someone they can feel completely comfortable relying on during the night, allowing them to rest and return to work feeling more refreshed. They are open to extending the arrangement or transitioning to fewer nights per week if it proves to be a wonderful fit!
Requirements:
Previous professional newborn-care experience required
Prior overnight newborn-care experience required
Knowledge of newborn feeding, soothing, safe sleep, and infant sleep development
Reliable, trustworthy, and attentive approach to overnight care
Up-to-date vaccinations preferred
Comfortable with a short-term commitment of approximately 4–10 weeks
Willingness to provide notice of illness and follow the family's illness-related policies
