(OPEN) Kind & Nurturing Part-Time Nanny Needed for Sweet Toddler in Hamburg, NY!

Age of Child: 1-year-old

Start Date: ASAP (no later than September)

Schedule: W/TH 8am-4pm/9am-5pm + Fridays 8:00am–12:00pm 

Compensation: $22–$30/hour DOE

Benefits: Guaranteed hours, PTO, sick days, paid major holidays, and annual discretionary bonus

A kind and welcoming family in Hamburg, NY is searching for a nurturing, engaging part-time nanny to care for their happy and curious one-year-old! With both parents balancing busy professional careers they are looking forward to welcoming a dependable caregiver who will become an important part of their daughter's early childhood.

This position is centered entirely around providing attentive, developmentally focused care. Their daughter is an active, joyful child who loves interacting with those around her and discovering new things. The family hopes to find a nanny who enjoys spending the day reading stories, talking, playing, exploring outdoors, and encouraging age-appropriate learning and developmental milestones through everyday activities. Light meal prep, as well as general tidying up of child-related items throughout the day will be asked and appreciated!

The family takes a flexible, child-led approach to feeding and sleep, following their child’s natural cues while maintaining predictable daily routines. They are looking for someone who is comfortable with this philosophy and can provide a calm, consistent presence throughout the day. As their little one grows, they would love for their nanny to enjoy outings together, including neighborhood walks, playground visits, and other enriching local activities. 

The ideal candidate is warm, attentive, playful, and fully engaged, with a calm and easygoing personality. They should be confident caring for young children, enjoy encouraging independence and exploration, and genuinely delight in helping toddlers learn and grow. The family also has two friendly dogs who may require letting in and out throughout the day.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to become certified

Safe and reliable vehicle

Willingness to make a long-term commitment
