(OPEN) Proactive & Friendly Family Assistant for Active Family in Pittsford, NY!

Ages of Children: 15 and 10

Schedule: Minimum coverage is approx. M–Th 3:00pm–6:30pm and Fridays until 5:00pm. The family is open to expanding to full-time hours, depending on the candidate.

Compensation: $26-32+/h DOE

A busy professional family in Pittsford, NY is looking for a responsible, proactive, and friendly Family Assistant to support their two children, ages 15 and 10. The family is hoping to find someone who is truly great with kids, comfortable with dogs, and naturally takes initiative. They are open to someone with less experience who is motivated, dependable, and excited to grow into the role!

The primary focus of this position will be after-school support and transportation to and from school, sports, and activities. Also helping with afternoon routines, and engaging with the children in a warm and meaningful way. The 15-year-old is active and sporty, while their 10-year-old daughter is outgoing, chatty, and loves attention. The ideal candidate will enjoy getting to know both children and can confidently manage their routines while encouraging their independence.

For candidates looking for additional hours, there is plenty of opportunity to expand into Family Assistant and household management responsibilities. This may include grocery shopping, children's laundry, changing sheets, organizing spaces such as the pantry, dropping off packages, running errands, and helping coordinate household appointments and vendors. Before the children's after-school hours, the focus would primarily be on the home and the family's two dogs, including afternoon walks and occasional vet or grooming appointments.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

CPR/First Aid certified

Safe and reliable vehicle
