Schedule: Tuesday–Friday 8:00am–6:00pm, with some flexibility for occasional irregular hours.
Compensation: $24-28+/h DOE

A warm and loving family in Rochester, NY is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and engaging Nanny to care for their infant daughter! Mom is returning from maternity leave, and the family is hoping to find someone who can provide consistent, attentive care while helping their daughter grow and explore the world around her. With Dad working in the ER and having a variable schedule, reliability, flexibility, and communication are especially important.
The primary focus of this role will be infant care and maintaining a consistent, developmentally appropriate routine. Responsibilities include following wake windows and nap schedules, engaging her with age-appropriate activities, reading, singing, getting outside, and taking her on outings to libraries and other local activities. The family loves spending time outdoors and would especially appreciate someone who enjoys getting out and about with children. Experience with sleep training, baby-led weaning, and introducing solids is a bonus.
The nanny will also provide light household support during nap times, such as folding laundry, putting away dishes, and keeping the home tidy. The family has two dogs, so comfort with animals is important. Help letting the dogs out in the fenced yard or feeding them lunch will be needed, while their daughter will remain the primary focus.
The ideal candidate is warm, nurturing, active, and confident with infants, with a genuine interest in child development and enrichment. The family values open communication and wants someone who will keep them informed about the day, including feedings, naps, activities, and milestones. They also need someone comfortable caring for a mildly sick child, as last-minute time off can be difficult with their work schedules.

Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience (infant-care experience required)
Safe and reliable vehicle
CPR/First Aid certified
Fully up to date on vaccinations, including flu and Tdap
Willingness to make a long-term commitment
