(OPEN) Nurturing & Dedicated Part-Time Nanny Needed for Close-Knit Family in Fairport, NY!

Age of Children: 5, 3, and 9 months

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:00am–4:30pm. Consistent weekly schedule, with occasional opportunities for additional hours.

Compensation: $22–30/h DOE

A close-knit and active family in Fairport Village is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and engaging part-time nanny to care for their three young daughters! With their oldest starting kindergarten in September, the primary focus will be caring for the family's two younger children while spending a shorter portion of the afternoon with all three girls. The family has had wonderful long-term relationships with previous caregivers and is hoping to find someone who can become a trusted extension of their family.

The role will focus on providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care while encouraging creativity, independence, and plenty of hands-on play. Responsibilities include engaging the girls through crafts, baking, pretend play, reading, outdoor activities, and other creative experiences, as well as preparing simple meals and snacks, supporting nap and rest routines, and helping with the children's daily needs. The family lives in the heart of Fairport with parks and playgrounds within walking distance, and they would love someone who enjoys getting out with the children once everyone is comfortable. 

The youngest is transitioning from three naps to two and follows a baby-led weaning approach, so comfort with infants, toddlers, and evolving routines is important. The family would also appreciate someone who is comfortable preparing meals and snacks for the children and supporting occasional child-related laundry and tidying, as well as lending a hand with the occasional load of family laundry would be much appreciated! Light pet care, such as letting their 9-year-old dog outside, may also be needed.

The ideal candidate is warm, loving, dependable, and genuinely enjoys being actively involved in children's days. The family values open communication, safety, positive encouragement, and helping their girls feel empowered, develop confidence, and age-appropriate emotional regulation. They follow a gentle approach centered around firm boundaries, natural consequences, and talking through challenging moments. Someone who is proactive, creative, and comfortable caring for multiple young children will thrive in this role.

Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience
Experience caring for multiple young children
CPR/First Aid certified
Reliable transportation
Willingness to make a long-term commitment
