A warm, dynamic, high-profile professional sports family relocating to the Buffalo, NY area is seeking an experienced, adaptable Nanny / Family Assistant to support their two children and help bring a sense of calm and consistency to their fast-paced household! This role is ideal for a candidate who understands the demands of professional athletics and a physician-led household, and brings a steady, grounding presence to the home. Prior experience working with atypical hours, professional athletes, high-profile families, or in similarly fast-paced environments is strongly preferred, as well as a high level of discretion and willingness to sign an NDA as a condition of employment.

The family has two young children — a busy, curious toddler and a spirited, energetic preschooler described lovingly as a “firecracker.” The parents maintain demanding and often unpredictable schedules, particularly with evenings, weekends, and seasonal commitments, so flexibility and a team-oriented mindset are essential. The family values a caregiver who is warm, patient, and playful, while also being highly proactive and capable of anticipating needs.

In this role, the nanny will provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for both children, including managing daily routines, supporting play and learning, and engaging them in enriching activities at home and out in the community (parks, museums, outings, etc.). Evening coverage is especially important, including dinner, bath, and bedtime routines, as well as weekend support during the parent’s work commitments. The position also includes family assistant responsibilities such as meal planning and preparation (with a focus on simple, wholesome meals), family laundry, organizing children’s spaces, running occasional errands, and helping to keep the household running smoothly. Travel may be required at times, and the nanny should be comfortable adapting to new environments and schedules.

The ideal candidate is calm, grounded, and brings a positive, reassuring energy into the home — someone who can balance a “go-with-the-flow” attitude with strong organization and follow-through. Strong communication skills are key, as is the ability to collaborate closely with a hands-on parent who values both structure and flexibility. While not required, fluency in Spanish or a second language would be a bonus.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, flexible, and nurturing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment to support a family who truly values their provider as an integral member of their team!

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

Safe and reliable vehicle

CPR/First Aid certified

Willingness to make a long-term commitment

Willingness to sign an NDA
