(OPEN) Attentive & Engaged Infant Nanny for Sweet Baby Girl in Orchard Park, NY!

Start Date: Early October preferred, but flexible for the right candidate

Schedule: Generally falls M-F 10am-4pm, with some flexibility as needed based on the family’s schedules

Compensation: $22-25+/h DOE

A very sweet and welcoming family in Orchard Park, NY is seeking an attentive, engaged, and nurturing Nanny to care for their first baby, a precious infant daughter! Mom works from home and Dad works outside the home, and the family is hoping to find someone who can provide loving, focused care while becoming a trusted part of their daughter’s life.

The primary focus of this role will be infant care. Responsibilities include feeding, diapering, following the baby’s cues around sleep and feeding, and providing age-appropriate stimulation during wake windows. The family enjoys incorporating tummy time and developmentally appropriate activities black-and-white books, toys, and music. Infant-specific experience is required, particularly experience caring for younger infants.

The family is currently keeping outings fairly limited while their daughter is young, but the nanny will be encouraged to take her on neighborhood walks. As she gets older the family would love for her to have opportunities for age-appropriate outings and activities. Experience with sleep transitions, baby-led weaning / introducing solids, as well as carefully tracking foods and other information would be a wonderful bonus as these stages approach.

The household support expected in this role is very minimal and primarily baby-related, such as running the bottle washer. The family does have two very friendly, energetic dogs who will need occasional attention throughout the day, including being let outside to run in the backyard.

Mom works from home full-time and may be available for some feedings during the day. The family is looking for someone who is comfortable with a collaborative work-from-home dynamic and understands that Mom may occasionally check in while also giving the nanny space to manage the day. Mom also travels periodically for work, so some flexibility around her schedule would be appreciated, with potential for occasional travel support in the future.

The ideal candidate is warm, attentive, communicative, and genuinely engaged with infants. A medical background as well as Spanish language skills would both be a major bonus but are not required. The family values someone who is open-minded, honest, and willing to communicate and work together as their daughter’s needs change! Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience (Infant experience required)

CPR/First Aid certified

Safe and reliable vehicle

Willingness to make a long-term commitment
