A warm & welcoming family in Buffalo, NY is seeking a proactive Nanny/Household Manager to support their two bright and engaging children. Mom is hoping to find a reliable professional who can become a trusted partner in both childcare and household management. While household support is appreciated, the family's highest priority is finding someone who can confidently provide exceptional care for their children!
The primary focus of this role will be after-school care, transportation, and creating a calm, supportive environment where both children can thrive. Responsibilities include transportation from school and to therapies & activities, homework support, preparing snacks and simple meals, and engaging the children through video & board games, walks, and other activities they enjoy. Both children are incredibly bright and independent, and experience supporting neurodivergent children is strongly preferred, as one child has AuDHD and the other has ADHD. The ideal nanny is patient, emotionally mature, and able to remain calm during challenging moments without taking behaviors personally. Someone who can anticipate needs, think independently, and confidently navigate big emotions will be an excellent fit.
In addition to childcare, the role includes Household Management responsibilities such as grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, running errands, scheduling appointments with contractors, maintaining household supplies, and helping keep the home running smoothly. The family would love someone who naturally takes initiative, enjoys problem-solving, and is comfortable managing tasks without needing detailed instructions. There is flexibility to expand these responsibilities for candidates seeking additional hours, particularly during school breaks or when the children are with their father.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, emotionally intelligent, and adaptable. Mom describes her family as fun, quirky, and very accepting, and is looking for someone who can embrace their dynamic with an open mind. A caregiver who enjoys video games or shares similar interests with the children would be a wonderful bonus, as would someone who appreciates fostering independence while providing consistent support. The family also has three beloved cats, so comfort around pets is important.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a nanny who enjoys supporting neurodivergent children, appreciates the variety that comes with combining childcare and household management, and is excited to become a trusted, long-term presence in a welcoming family.
Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience
Experience supporting neurodivergent children strongly preferred

Willingness to make a long-term commitment
