A kind and professional single-mom-by-choice who works in healthcare is seeking a warm, reliable nanny to provide loving before-and-after daycare care for her bright and energetic 2-year-old daughter in Brighton, NY! This family truly adores their current provider, who has become like family, and they hope to find someone equally wonderful to join their household when she transitions to new responsibilities in January. This position is ideal for a nurturing professional who enjoys helping children start and end their days with ease and consistency, and who values creating a calm, positive home routine.

Mornings will begin with arriving at 6:00am to assist with the morning routine — helping the child wake up, get dressed, and ready for daycare. The family appreciates someone patient and gentle who can make mornings run smoothly before heading out for drop-off around 7:45am. Mom’s job in healthcare is quite demanding and inflexible, so punctuality is of the utmost importance to ensure that Mom can leave for work promptly each morning. In the afternoons on Mondays and Thursdays, the nanny will handle daycare pickup at 4:30pm and care for her until 6:30pm, including snack or dinner prep, light tidying, and screen-free engaging and creative play.

On Tuesdays, the nanny will handle an early pickup at 3:30pm for swim class nearby, joining the child in the pool for her lesson (strong swimming skills appreciated but not required). Light family assistant tasks are appreciated while the child is still sleeping in the mornings (such as tidying play areas, wiping down toys, or helping with simple child-related organization).

The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, and compassionate — someone who loves helping children learn and grow through play, reading, and conversation. Comfort preparing simple, balanced toddler meals (a veggie, protein, carb, and fruit!) and supporting the family’s values and lifestyle is important. Spanish knowledge would be a wonderful bonus, though not required.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a kind, trustworthy caregiver who enjoys building meaningful connections and supporting a loving family’s morning and afternoon routines.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience (toddler experience preferred)

Safe and reliable vehicle

CPR/First Aid certified

Comfort respecting the family’s faith-based lifestyle and household values

Willingness to make a long-term commitment
