A warm and welcoming family in Rochester, NY is seeking a caring, playful nanny to provide afternoon support for their three little ones - a sweet 2.5-year-old toddler and 4-month-old twins. Mom is a stay-at-home parent, and dad’s work requires occasional travel. The family speaks Basque and Spanish at home, and while English is the primary requirement for this role, familiarity with Spanish is a plus!
The nanny will primarily engage with the toddler after school while mom is with the twins. This active, creative little toddler loves reading, playing outside, and using her imagination! The ideal nanny is someone who can meet her with energy and attention, while also being confident enough to help with the twins when needed (such as rocking them to sleep or taking over with one baby during busy moments).
Most days will be focused on play and childcare, but when dad is away on trips, the family may ask for extra evening help with bath and bedtime, and light household support such as tidying up toys or folding a load of laundry. The ideal candidate brings warmth, energy, and patience to afternoons with a busy toddler and infant twins and is confident caring for multiples and comfortable working alongside mom and stepping in where needed. The family is also looking for a candidate that is familiar with Montessori-inspired approaches, with an emphasis on gentle guidance, reinforcing positive behavior, and screen-free play.
This is a wonderful role for a nurturing nanny who enjoys toddlers and babies, values consistency, and who is excited to provide engaging support for this kind and busy family!
