A warm and thoughtful family in Brighton, NY, is seeking a nurturing, knowledgeable part-time nanny to care for their sweet five-month-old son through the end of June 2026 with the possibility to extend! Both parents work from home and are transitioning back from maternity and paternity leave. They are excited to welcome a caregiver who will partner with them during this special stage of early development.
This household is pet-free, and the heart of the role truly centers around creating a calm, engaging, and developmentally supportive environment. These loving parents describe their little one as a cuddly, happy baby who loves being held, read to, and sung to. He currently takes four shorter naps per day and is following a flexible routine. The family would appreciate a caregiver who understands infant sleep patterns and can gently support healthy nap habits while remaining responsive to his needs.
Daily responsibilities include bottle feeding, supporting naps, engaging in age-appropriate developmental play, and adventuring out for neighborhood walks (the library is nearby for story time outings!) The family values a screen-free environment and hopes to find someone who is fully present, communicative, and comfortable working alongside work-from-home parents.
They are seeking a nanny who is kind, patient, and well-versed in infant developmental milestones. Someone who enjoys sharing insights, collaborating with first-time parents while respecting their parenting style, and growing alongside a family will be a wonderful fit.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a compassionate, development-focused caregiver to build a meaningful connection with an infant and support a loving family during an exciting first year!
Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience
CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
Safe and reliable vehicle
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations, including TDap, Flu, and current COVID vaccine
Willingness to commit to the full length of the contract
