A warm, hardworking, and playful family is seeking a professional, engaging full-time nanny to care for their two young children in Binghamton, NY! Their infant will be about 8 months old at the start of care, and their spirited toddler is just over 2 years old. They are hoping to find someone who can commit for at least one year, with the possibility of extending if it’s a wonderful long-term fit.
During the day, care will often focus on one child at a time, as the toddler currently attends in-home daycare part of the week and spends time with grandparents. Both children will typically be home together in the late afternoons (approximately 4:00–5:30/6:00pm), and there may be occasional full days with both children when schedules shift.
This role centers on attentive, developmentally appropriate care including preparing bottles and meals, assisting with naps, engaging play, tummy time, park outings, and library trips. Someone who truly loves caring for infants and toddlers, who is fully engaged, and proactive at planning age-appropriate, developmentally-focused activities will be a wonderful fit!
These kind parents describe their toddler as active, strong-willed, and in full toddlerhood, so the family would love a nanny who can confidently set kind, consistent boundaries while keeping days fun and engaging. The infant is easygoing, and the family follows flexible routines and wake windows without being overly rigid. The family would welcome occasional light household support such as folding laundry or running the vacuum as time allows, though the primary focus is on providing excellent childcare. Someone who is proactive and happy to leave the home in good condition (toys picked up, dishes away, etc.) at the end of the day will be appreciated!
Mom works from home in a dedicated office, and Dad works primarily outside the home with periodic travel. The family describes themselves as warm, outgoing, and dynamic, and they are seeking a nanny who is similarly personable, professional, and fully present. They are especially eager to find someone engaged and proactive. There are two cats and one friendly dog in the home (lab-sized) who will need to be let in and out from time to time.
This is a lovely opportunity for a knowledgeable nanny who enjoys both infant care and the adventure of toddlerhood, and who is excited to build a meaningful partnership with an appreciative family.
Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience (infant and toddler experience strongly preferred)
CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
Safe and reliable vehicle
Willingness to make a minimum one-year commitment
