A kind and welcoming family relocating to Henrietta, NY is seeking a warm, patient, and developmentally-minded nanny to care for their bright and active toddler! With Mom beginning a new position and Dad working primarily from home, the family is hoping to welcome a nurturing, dependable caregiver who can provide a balanced day of learning, play, structure, and rest.
This full-time role centers entirely on loving, engaged care for their daughter, who enjoys reading, singing, outdoor play, animals, and being silly! She thrives with gentle boundaries, predictable routines, and a caregiver who brings creativity, positivity, and calm guidance to each day. A nanny who plans simple early-learning activities, encourages independence and independent play from time-to-time, and collaborates with parents on routines will be a wonderful fit.
Responsibilities include supporting her nap routine, preparing simple toddler meals or snacks, engaging her in age-appropriate play and enrichment, encouraging developmentally appropriate independence, and handling light child-related tidying. The family prefers minimal to no screen use during the day and values a nanny who is fully present and phone-free while actively caring for their child.
The family’s ideal candidate is gentle, thoughtful, attentive, and consistent—someone who can balance warmth and fun with firm but kind follow-through and redirection as necessary. A background in toddler care or early childhood education is appreciated. While not a requirement for the role, the family has a strong preference for a nanny who speaks Hindi or Punjabi, or another second language.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a calm, reliable, and engaging nanny who is excited to support a toddler’s growth and partner closely with a warm, communicative family as they settle into their new home!
Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience
CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
Safe and reliable vehicle
Hindi or Punjabi speaking preferred but not required
Willingness to make a long-term commitment to the family
