A warm and professional physician family in Rochester is seeking an experienced and developmentally knowledgeable full-time nanny to care for their active toddler and sweet new baby! With both parents working full schedules and Grandma providing occasional support, they’re hoping to find a confident, reliable, and nurturing caregiver who can manage both children with ease and bring strong infant and toddler experience to the role.
This is a childcare-focused position with responsibilities including daily care for both children (diapering, feeding, naps, and play) while supporting developmental milestones through engaging, age-appropriate activities. For their toddler, the family values child-led play, encouraging independence and creativity, while weaving in gentle school-readiness skills such as personal independence skills like dressing and feeding, and social learning. This family’s 2-year-old thrives with clear, kind, and consistent limits, and someone who can provide a balance of warmth and firmness will be a wonderful fit. The role will also include planning outings nearby (park, library, neighborhood walks), preparing simple and healthy meals following the family’s whole-food preferences, and providing support with child-related laundry and tidying of play and nursery spaces.
The family is seeking a nanny who is warm and loving, yet professional and respectful of boundaries, especially as Mom works from a home office part of the time. Their ideal candidate is experienced with both infants and toddlers, confident managing two children simultaneously, and thoughtful in providing developmentally appropriate care. A calm, mature presence is valued, and the family prefers a more seasoned caregiver who brings knowledge, confidence, and reliability to the role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nanny who loves young children, values a balance of child-led and developmentally guided play, and is excited to join a busy, welcoming family for the long term!
Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience
