A warm, busy professional family is seeking a reliable, proactive Nanny / Family Assistant to support their 7-year-old son and help keep their household running smoothly. This role is a wonderful blend of after-school childcare and household support, ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, taking initiative, and becoming a trusted extension of the family.
The family’s son is bright, energetic, and highly curious — he loves music, board games, outdoor play, and engaging conversations. They are looking for someone who can keep up with his energy, support homework and routines, and bring a warm, steady presence to the afternoon rhythm.
In this role, responsibilities will include supporting school pickups and occasional drop-offs, supervising after-school routines, assisting with homework, and engaging the child in fun, developmentally appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors. The nanny will also help with transportation to activities, encourage limited screen time, and assist with simple meal preparation for the family. During hours that the child is in school, this role includes family assistant tasks such as light household tidying, family laundry, and general upkeep (vacuuming, wiping surfaces, etc.). Occasional evening or weekend support, including date nights or rare overnights, may also be requested.
The ideal candidate is energetic, engaging, and able to keep up with an active school-aged child while also bringing a calm, thoughtful presence to the home. They are warm and kind, yet confident in setting appropriate boundaries, and are highly proactive—able to anticipate needs and take initiative without requiring close direction. Strong communication skills are essential, as the family values someone who is responsive, organized, and dependable. The right fit will be comfortable supporting a faith-based family with established values and routines, enjoy being active and outdoors, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to both childcare and household support.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a family who is looking for someone to truly become part of their team — someone who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and brings a thoughtful, caring presence into their home.
