(OPEN) Proactive and Organized Full-Time Family Assistant for Busy, Professional Family in Fairport, NY!

Ages of Children: Four school-age children
Start Date: January 5th, 2026
Schedule: M–F 8am–4pm
Compensation: $20–$25/hour DOE
Contract: Full-time through September 26th, 2026, with option to transition to part-time Family Assistant/After School support at that time.

A welcoming family in Fairport, NY is seeking a confident, proactive, and detail-oriented Family Assistant/Nanny to support their busy household of six! With two working parents, four energetic children, and a full schedule, they’re hoping to welcome a dependable provider who thrives on structure, enjoys variety, and finds satisfaction in helping a household run smoothly.

Beginning January 2026, this full-time role will center on daytime childcare for the two youngest children, as well as household support and after-school care for the older children. Support with simple meal prep, afternoon routines, and general household flow will be especially appreciated. 

Family assistant responsibilities include grocery shopping, errands and returns, family laundry, organizational projects, and light household tidying. The family also has two small, friendly dogs who will need occasional walks or to be let-out. Transport to sports practices or other activities may be requested from time to time. Keeping the home organized, efficient, and running smoothly will be central to the role.

The family’s ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and confident in setting consistent boundaries with warmth. Someone who is detail-oriented, kind but firm, and who enjoys being outdoors, playing games, and supervising children in the pool will be a wonderful fit. This role offers the opportunity to grow with the family: full-time support through September 2026 with the option to transition into a part-time after-school schedule once all children are in school.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

CPR/First Aid certified

Ability to swim and supervise children in water
