(OPEN) Active and Nurturing Summer Nanny Needed for Sweet Family in Rock Stream, NY!

Ages of Children: 3.5 years & 6 months

Start Date: June, 2025

End Date: Late August/Early September 2025 (Can be flexible through the last weeks of August but preference for candidates that can work through early September!)  

Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8AM-5PM, Friday 8AM-12PM

Compensation: $22-28/h DOE

Benefits: Guaranteed hours, sick days, paid major holidays, PTO, signing bonus

This kind and easygoing family is seeking a reliable, outdoorsy, and nurturing summer nanny to care for their two young daughters at their home in Rock Stream, NY! Both parents work from home so they are hoping to find someone who enjoys taking the kids on little adventures—to parks, the lake, and other safe, fun summer spots!

The ideal candidate will be active, safety-conscious, and confident caring for both an infant and a preschooler. Experience with infant feeding and safe sleep, bottle prep, and introducing solids is essential. Someone who can engage their toddler in age-appropriate activities while balancing the needs of the baby is key. The family is loosely inspired by the Montessori Method, and prioritizes gentle boundaries, offering choices, and respect-based care. They’re looking for someone who is organized, warm, and proactive with both planning the day and keeping things tidy.

The family has two very sweet dogs—no pet care required, but comfort around animals is a must. Naps for their older child are typically from 1–3/3:30pm, while the infant will follow a morning and afternoon schedule. Household support is minimal—just bottle washing and cleaning up after the day’s play! 

This is a summer-only role, ideal for a candidate who loves being outside, is familiar with infant and toddler routines, and enjoys supporting young children’s development through outdoor exploration and playful learning. The family is relocating from the Philadelphia area and is excited to welcome someone kind and dependable into their new home! Requirements:

1+ years of professional childcare experience (infant experience required)

CPR/First Aid certified

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations including COVID 

Valid driver’s license & safe, reliable vehicle

Willingness to make commitment to full contract dates of the role
