(OPEN) Engaged and Reliable Family Assistant/Nanny Needed for Active Family in Fairport, NY!

Schedule: M/W 1pm–6pm, T/F 12pm–5pm, Th 3pm–8pm
Compensation: $20–$25/hour DOE

A warm and dynamic family of six in Fairport, NY is seeking a reliable and proactive family assistant/nanny to help keep their household running smoothly. With four energetic children and two working parents, they’re looking for a candidate who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy home, and is equally comfortable managing household tasks and engaging with kids after school.

The role will begin as soon as the right person is found, with afternoons focused on family assistant support and childcare. The two older children return home from school around 3:45pm, while the youngest twins are picked up from daycare by Dad in the evenings. Support with meal prep, after-school routines, and the Thursday evening bedtime routine (during the parents’ weekly date night) will be especially helpful.

Family assistant responsibilities include grocery shopping, errands and returns, family laundry, light household tidying, and caring for the family’s two small dogs with walks or let-outs. Helping to keep the household organized and on track is a key part of the role. Occasional seasonal driving (sports practices, CSA pickup) may also be needed.

The ideal candidate is organized, consistent, and confident in setting boundaries with kindness. Someone who is calm, dependable, and enjoys being outdoors, playing games, and supervising swimming will thrive in this role.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

CPR/First Aid certified

Ability to swim and supervise children in water
