(OPEN) Playful and Patient Nanny Needed for Down-to-Earth Family of Five in Syracuse, NY!
Ages of Children: 3 years, 20 months, and newborn (arriving August 2025)
Start Date: September, 2025
Schedule: 15-20 hours over 3 flexible days/week. For example, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM M/W/F (or similar)
Compensation: $20–25/hour DOE

A warm, thoughtful family in Syracuse, NY is seeking a kind, confident, and developmentally-minded nanny to join them in September as they welcome their third child! With a busy household and two young children—plus a new baby on the way—they’re looking for part-time support from someone who truly enjoys being with little ones, and who can bring playful energy, reliability, and calm confidence to their days.
This is a childcare-focused role that will involve supporting daily routines, planning fun and enriching outings, and helping with general child-related tidying. Beginning in August 2025, Mom will be taking a year-long career break, so the goal is to “divide and conquer” — while she tends to the newborn, household tasks, and occasional errands. Although Mom will often be present, the family deeply respects their caregiver’s expertise and autonomy, and is eager to partner with someone who is confident working alongside a stay-at-home parent in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
The family’s sweet three-year-old is curious and sensitive, and the family would love to work with a provider who is cool, calm, and confident managing big toddler feelings! Their second child is joyful, easygoing, and loves outdoor play. A nanny with experience in both infant and toddler development, who is comfortable maintaining gentle but consistent boundaries will be a wonderful fit! This family appreciates incorporating (loosely) Montessori-inspired activities like hands-on play, outdoor exploration, art projects, and involving the kids in simple household routines like baking and laundry. They’d love to find a nanny who’s creative, down-to-earth, and enjoys engaging young children in age-appropriate adventures!
Additional responsibilities include occasional bottle washing, simple toddler meals (prepped by Mom), and generally tidying up after the activities of the day. The family has two friendly cats, so comfort around animals is a must. If desired by all parties, there is potential for the role to become full-time once Mom is back to work in September, 2026.

Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience
Experience with toddlers and infants
CPR/First Aid certified
Safe and reliable transportation
Long-term commitment (with potential for full-time hours in Fall 2026)
